Removal Techniques

Also known as cautery, electrosurgery uses a low level electrical current to create heat at the skin, which destroys the lesion by ‘charring’ it.

A special device is used to precisely apply a very cold gas to the lesion, which destroys it by freezing.

The lesion is scraped off the surface of the skin using a special surgical blade. Only the surface layer of the skin is removed.
